The Institution of Engineers (India) or IEI is the largest multidisciplinary professional body that encompasses 15 engineering disciplines and gives engineers a global platform for sharing professional interest. IEI has membership strength of above 0.8 million. Established in 1920, with its headquarter Kolkata, IEI has served the engineering fraternity close to a century. During this period of time, IEI has been inextricably linked with the history of modern-day engineering.
In 1935, IEI was incorporated by Royal Charter and remains the only professional body in India which has been accorded this honor. Today, its quest for professional excellence has given it a place of pride in almost every prestigious and relevant organization across the globe. It provides a vast array of technical, professional and supporting services to the Government, Industries, Academia and the Engineering fraternity, operating through its 124 Centres located across the country and 6 overseas chapters. Besides, IEI has bilateral agreements with about 31 international bodies and membership of another 8 international bodies of the developed nations across the globe.
Being recognized as a Scientific and Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, IEI promotes the cause of research and development by providing Grant-in-Aid support to undergraduate, post graduate students and PhD Research Scholars of Engineering Institutions and Universities.
IEI has been recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India and besides conducting its' own research, provides Grant-in-Aid to UG/PG/PhD students of Engineering institutes and Universities.
IEI holds the International Professional Engineers (IntPE) Register for India under the global International Professional Engineers Alliance (IntPEA). The institution also awards the Professional Engineers (PE) Certification.
IEI in collaboration with Springer regularly publishes peer-reviewed international journal in five series, namely, Series A, Series B, Series C, Series D and Series E covering fifteen engineering disciplines.
The Institution of Engineers (India), Uttarakhand State Centre was established in the year 2003 and presently operates from its own building near Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT). About2800 Corporate Members are attached to this centre. The Institution of Engineers (India), Uttarakhand State Centre has been actively organizing seminars, workshops and recommending engineering solution. A Disaster Awareness & Management Forum (DAMF) have been set up at the Centre. A Building and Material Testing Lab has also been setup. Green Energy Cell of IEI UKSC was set up in 2015 and is specifically ,mandated for addressing the issue related to various types of energies, like solar energy, hydropower, wind energy etc. Skill Development Cell, Quality Control Cell and Professional Skill Development Cell are also functioning in the State Centre.

Call For Papers
All interested participants are requested to contribute technical /research papers and case studies detailing concept, innovation, idea or practical experiences for oral as well a poster presentation. Each paper should begin with a synopsis of about 200 words and should be limited to 6 typed pages in A-4 size papers including text, figures and tables etc. A brief bio-data (not more than half a page, affixing a photo) of the author(s) should accompany the paper.

Communication of accepted paper will be communicated by : 10 September 2024
Best Paper Awards will be awarded each in Industry, Academia and Student Category
Publications
E-Technical volume of the Seminar will be published incorporating all accepted papers including write-ups on the subject for general appreciation and made available to the registered participants.

Peninsular Maritime India Pvt. Ltd. (PMIPL)
PMIPL (Peninsular Maritime India Pvt. Ltd.) was incorporated in the year 2017 and commenced its operations w.e.f. April 2018 on Indian coast catering to the Indian Owners and Indian Vessels having a wide spread of Dry Bulk, Deep Sea Offshore vessel, Heavy Lift and Bulk Crane Barges. Headquartered in Navi Mumbai (India) and a support branch in Singapore to cater to our international clientele. We are dedicated in maintaining the asset value of our clients' vessels as economically as possible. The challenges of the lockdown were used to re- affirm the strong work culture and support to our clients which is back by our growth story. We grew from 1 vessel to 12 vessels within a span of 3 years. When a very few air bubble flights were operated out of India, we sighted opportunity and expanded operations to cater to international clientele whose assets were stuck in the Indian Subcontinent (as an extension of the owner's team) to manage the vessel and carry out crew change for foreign owners. We act as Owner's representative to oversee vessel operations of MR size tankers. A conventional ship management company would not suffice for the operations in today challenging times, and additional services and thinking out of box solutions are always needed. Project Consultancy took a great leap by pioneering in the Maritime Floating Billboard ship construction and operations in Mumbai. PMIPL gave consultancy for building the marine asset for an advertisement company and operated successfully on the coast of Mumbai. The entire infrastructural set up of vessel management and all the requisite licenses were completed during lock down in order to provide a one stop solution to our clients 360° solution.
